Words to avoid in order to stay positive.
One of the most important words to avoid in order to stay positive is expect. We as humans naturally and automatically have expectations when it comes to our spouses, children, family and friends. We expect everyone to act or react in a certain manner and when their actions or reactions do not meld with our own expectations we inevitably become disappointed and angry. We have to learn how to shed our expectations of others and ourselves. To love yourself and others unconditionally is difficult to do. We can never love everyone unconditionally but if we begin with our families, our friends and ourselves, we have then taken that first step in a non judgemental attitude towards everyone else.To expect is to judge and to judge is the act of being self righteous and putting yourself on a higher plain which is the root of all disagreements, arguments and even war. We are all equal and therefore should never be judged or expected to be, do or say something which goes against our inherent nature.If you remember, to expect is to be disappointed and to not expect is to be surprised and content..
