Hong Kong Park Aviary

Hong Kong Park located in the Admirality area of Hong Kong Island is also home to an aviary which houses many an exotic bird species. The aviary is surrounded by trees, lush greenery, rock formations and tropical ponds. There is a wooden bridge as you can see a part of it in the photo above, which is built above and winds through the aviary. While walking along the footbridge you can check out all the birds, ducks and ponds below. The photo above is of a Nicobar pigeon. I was right up close and personal with him yet he remained still. The one aspect I loved most about the aviary is that you are being serenaded by these beautiful song birds throughout your visit.
The greenery alongside the bamboo and tropical ponds made for a very exotic journey through this area of the park. The photo below captures the essence of the lush green foliage within this aviary.
A beautiful and inspiring journey indeed walking through this exotic oasis. Loving birds as I do made this visit one of the highlights of my trip. More at http://joshongkong.tripod.com
