Entrecard

Published by jodapoet at 12:58 pm under Writing Edit This

I’ve been using Entrecard now for a couple of months.  When I first checked out the website I was completely lost.  I now however can’t live without it.  It is my main source of advertising and promoting.  And, since I’ve purchased a faster computer and downloaded FireFox and the Entrecard toolbar, I’m in heaven.

I’m a very visual person so I think what appeals to me most are the card designs.  When campaigning in my chosen category I often initially choose by the card design.  I also love the fact that you can advertise on your favorite blogs.  With the toolbar it allows much more time to visit each blog, read and comment.  I really enjoy doing that and it is not time consuming at all.  I will reciprocate drop, read and comment as well as campaign drop and comment for each of my two blogs on a daily basis.  This combined with my other advertising and writing only takes about a couple of hours a day.  It’s fantastic.  I recently checked my stats for both blogs and found that Entrecard has been my best advertising source thus far.  It’s brought regular readers and many friends.

So, if you haven’t tried it as yet, do so.  It’s free, easy and fun.

oh, i am lost. I love entrecard too, it makes me know a lot more other bloggers and read wonderful insights. it is like learning from others. however, i use explorer and safari, and i a lot of times have trouble with this 2 browsers with entrecard. i am lost because i am so behind, i do not have firefox, and i do not know what you meant by toolbox? thanks for sharing, i will look into this. I’ve read from other bloggers how firefox work great for them, i think it is about time for me to study that.

betchai - yes in order to use the entrecard toolbar you need firefox. I always had explorer but decided to try firefox so I could use entrecard. It is so much faster. It’s really great. Check it out. You can always download it and if you don’t like it you can switch back. Let me know how it goes.

Now that the election is over, entrecard has also become the source of the majority of my unique views. Although a recommended diary on the Daily Kos will generate nearly 1,000 in a single day, that doesn’t happen that often.

I’m sure this is the same for everyone, but I’ve also noticed that the total views to unique views are nearly 4-1 for my blog. Which is encouraging in some aspects, but not so much in terms of word of mouth advertising.

    Cheers

I am cynical about social traffic but I am finding that entrecard is working well on my travel blog. And yes its a good way to find people with similar interestes!
