Sleep Travel
In keeping with the dream interpretation theme I want to talk a little bit about sleep travel. It’s been mentioned that while dreaming people have visited other realms or planes. Some have even felt pain and traveled through years while in a dream state. That just makes me wonder. Is it possible for our souls or spirits to leave our physical bodies and travel through time? When I personally experience a feeling of my spirit leaving my body while dreaming, I usually am startled and awaken. I’m wondering if I did not wake up, would I continue to travel through time and space?
I think it arrogant of us to think that we are the only planet, plane and realm within this infinite universe. I’ve always believed that there is much more out there and maybe within our dreams we are able to travel this universe without consciously knowing we are doing so. I know my theories are a bit “way out there” for some however from what I’ve experienced I tend to think we are capable of much more than just your average dream. Traveling while sleeping can be tiring so maybe that is why some of us are so tired when we wake up in the morning. Seriously though, I really do wonder if traveling through time is possible and if so, does it mean we can change our future? Can we prevent tragic events? Or, are our dreams merely dreams? I really don’t know but I truly believe it is something to be researched and studied. What are your thoughts on this subject?

I am a firm believer that your soul travels through time
Thanks for reading and commenting.
i too think and feel sometimes that when i dream my soul travels for it feels really like being there
Well if you look at the most updated FIRM beliefs in modern day physicists, they don’t just THINK that there are other dimensions and parallel universes, but they basically talk as if they KNOW that they exist so in all their research and data, the question they are trying to answer isn’t whether it’s possible, it’s how many exist and what types (the most famous believe in 4 types).
If our world goes by a set of rules set by physics, everything in it does too. The matter we are made out of isn’t “us”…what makes you, you, and me, well, me, is the energy in our brain using the matter our body is made out of as a vessel to explore this reality and express itself. If we feel sad, our energy in our brain acts on our body and makes us cry…etc. Energy is capable of CRAZY things and so though it IS very obvious that matter could go “world” to “world” and stay intact, it is *extremely* plausable that the energy that makes us could.
This being said… I definitely think its possible. I mean, the whole saying “mind over matter” didn’t come from no where.
(This information, in my opinion, also explains what happens when our body parishes. The physics in THIS reality rules that energy cannot be created or distroyed… plain and simple. Well here we sit alive, energy moving throughout our brain to give us thoughts, nerves to give us feeling and movement, and heart to keep it beating. When the matter our body is made out of gives out, that energy just seems to disappear (hence why your heart and brain both “flat line”). Well it has to go somewhere and if it can no longer use the matter of our body, it can’t be destroyed so it must lift out and be sent out into the space around us…spreading around everyone we love and care… just waiting until they’re set free too and can join you)
I rarely remember my dreams, but when I do, I want to start writing them down. I get “deja vu” a lot, you know, where something happens and I could swear it happened in a dream last week. But I’m neve 100% sure because I usually dream it and then forget about it.
Betchai - Thanks I’ve always felt that I was the only one
Rachel - Wow! what a fascinating and educated post. It all makes sense after reading what you have posted. It gives a grounded meaning to the idea. Loved that you stopped by to comment. Thank you.
Mike - Exactly, that’s what I had pondered on how we can perhaps change the future by reliving our past lives.
gamintips - I know what you mean about dejavu. I get that often and it’s a strangely familiar feeling.
Thanks to all of you for your comments.
Wouldn’t that be considered Astral Projection or an Out of Body Experience? Although, now that I think about it, I think those are something that you do consciously. Lucid Dreaming is the practice of being aware while you are dreaming. Making it possible for you to travel to other dimensions or even within our own dimension (like remote viewing) while still being attached to your body. Some people have even reported seeing a silver thread that keeps them attached to their physical body while ‘traveling’.
Thanks for the awesome post!

I definitely think there are other realms out there and that we
may travel via our dreams or while sleeping. I don’t ever rule
out anything. For years, I don’t recall dreaming. Recently, I had a sleep study done and it revealed I had very little REM sleep during the five hours of the study. During that time, I also had 57 periods where I stopped breathing and 50 periods of hypoxia ( where my oxygen level dropped to a very low point ). That would account for my extreme daytime fatigue - not visiting other universes or centuries - so I am now using a CPAP machine at night. I do feel less fatigued but I am not noticing that I dream - or that I am remembering dreams - but that doesn’t mean that I’m not passing you all as we cavort about
our universes. So say hello if you see me.
Thanks to all of you for reading and posting. This is a fascinating topic and one in which I will be researching.
I once had a dream about a place. When I woke up, I told my partner at the time about it.
He told me that I’d just described Guatemala in detail. (He works for the RAF so travel is part of his job.)
I knew there was a place called Guatemala, but I’d never seen or heard about it before I had that dream. Never had a desire to go there either.
Was it sleep travel? I don’t know. But it’s not something I can rule out either if I don’t have an entire knowledge of what the human mind is capable of.
Mango- Wow, it could have either been sleep travel or a past life. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I will at some point in time add a Universal Language Translator widget.
Thank you both Blue and Augusta for sharing with us.
