Energy Within Us
For a few days now we’ve been discussing sleep travel, reincarnation and past lives. One commenter on my sleep travel article which you can read here http://apoetsview.today.com/2008/12/02/sleep-travel/#comment-695 thank you Rachel, stated some interesting facts which you should read if you have a chance.
She mentions that we are made of energy which resides in our brains and uses our bodies as vessels in which to flow and initiate the feelings that we display. When we die that energy, being what it is merely leaves our body and has nowhere to go but float around the universe. Of course Rachel, who authored the comments is much more eloquent in explaining energy. However her post got me thinking about what exactly happens with that energy when the body perishes.
I’ll use myself as an example. I get sick and die. The energy that was in my brain leaves my body and is out there somewhere. Now, if it was my energy residing in my brain does that mean that though I no longer have a body that I still in some way exist? It is very similar to the Catholic belief that the soul rises out of the body, although in the Catholic doctrine it is said that the soul either goes to heaven or hell which I do not believe at all. However the similarities are there whether you call it energy or soul or spirit, it still leaves the body.
Which takes me to my next question, can this energy manifest itself as a ghost? I know I’m stretching it out here but it begs asking that question. If the energy is floating around can it be seen or felt by some? I watch the Ghost Whisperer every so often and it is entertaining. While I question whether or not what we see Jennifer Love Hewitt portraying can actually take place I do wonder if there is some aspect to energy interacting with the living. This subject truly fascinates me. Your thoughts?

The fact is that which makes you think is the cellular chemical processing of food. This allows us to think, move, etc. This creates heat. When we die, this heat, the only tangible energy we really produce, leaves our body and goes into the universe. That is all. Heat is not organized in any way (that is, it does not retain form to be called a ghost or any other such thing). Very simple. Not sad or wonderful, just simply fact.
Thank you SJ for reading and commenting. Very interesting.
