While I may wake up and be happy that I am alive, I am also very devastated to be losing my job of 21 years at the age of 64. I know, people tell me to see it as a door opening for me but, with my medical problems, etc, I would have been far more content to stay working at the forensic work that was the passion of my nursing life until my retirement in two years. What I do appreciate about Oprah, and some of the other celebrities who have accumulated wealth, is their generosity and true willingness to help others in need and to be an inspiration to all. That is especially important to our youth. They need role models like her. I, too, am a fan of Oprah’s and I’m a fighter.
